The Wheatsheaf

 

 

 
The Wheatsheaf was situated at 15 St Aldates. This pub was present by 1756 it was known as The New Wheat Sheaf and the publican was John Fisher.  It has become The Wheatsheaf & Anchor by 1860 and The Wheatsheaf in 1861. By 1926, at time of closure, it had been renamed The Anchor & Wheatsheaf. Now demolished the site comprises part of Christ Church Memorial Gardens.
