The Plough was situated at 132 London Road and was operating as a bar-cum-Indian at the time its lease was not renewed in early 2018.

The originally located approximately 150 yards SE yard of the current location, formerly Mobb’s Yard public weighbridge, currently a builder’s merchant. On the original coach route (along what is now Roman Road). Having been diverted in the late 18 th century, the pub was rebuilt in the new location to continue catching that trade.
