The White Hart was situated on the
corner of Stall Street and Westgate Street, opposite the Pump Rooms. This
was Bath’s oldest recorded inn dating from at least 1503. It was mentioned
in Jane Austen’s Persuasion and the Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens. The
inn was demolished in 1869. |
