The Hop Pole Inn was situated on Woods Hill. The building dates from the 15th century and is grade-II listed
The Hop Pole has been bought and saved from developers by the Limpley Stoke Community Benefit Society. The pub is currently undergoing extensive restoration, with a target to reopen in 2024. https://www.limpleystokecbs.org/

Listed building details:
Inn. C17, altered C19. Rubble stone, double Roman tiled roof with coped verges and stone stacks. Two-storey, 3-window. Large gabled stone porch with chamfered arched opening and two half-glazed inner doors, 3-light beaded mullioned casement with hoodmould to right, 2-light C19 mullioned casement ovolo-mullioned casement to left. First floor has two 3-light ovolo-mullioned casements and one 3-light beaded mullioned casement, all with hoodmoulds, eaves raised C19 and straight joint indicates left hand bay is addition. Lean-to extension to right return. Rear lean-to extensions. Interior altered.
