This pub was run by a lovely bloke
called Jimmy Workman. It had a single room and a bar hatch (no counter).
Jimmy was disabled and walked with crutches. He was a brilliant chess player
and even though I was only 15 he would serve me Cider and spend time
teaching me Chess. |
