New Inn

The New Inn was situated on New Road. This pub was built in 1768 and closed in the 1990s. This grade-II listed pub has now been converted into flats.
 

 
Listed building details:
Inn. C18 or earlier. Local lias stone cut and squared; undulating plain clay tile roof over stone slate base courses, between stepped coped gables; stone chimney stacks. 'L' plan: 2 storeys, 5 bays. Sash windows of 16-panes, paired at ground floor level and to outer bays first floor, in plain openings with voussoired flat arches; off centre to bay 3 a
plain boarded door, protected by C20 stone and tile porch. Outshut to rear, and also long rear wing extension with pantiled roof, formerly barn, etc. Interior not seen.
