The Rising Sun was situated on East Reach.

My cousin's paternal grandmother was the landlady of the Rising Sun in East Reach in the 1970's when I was a child in Taunton, his surname is Evans so presumably hers was too. I cannot remember her first name but she was quite a character, the only time I remember going in there as a kid i remember there was a car number plate over the bar that said RU18 which i thought was funny.
