The Balloon was situated on the High Street.

Back in the mid 70s, I used to play the drums with my dad on the piano at the Balloon. In those days it was an Ansells pub, managed by Mick and Val Chapman. They had two daughters one of which, Jane, I eventually started dating. The last time I was in Bilston, the pub was a fish & chip shop. Very sad to see.
