Stephen Tibbetts 1985-2000 My cousin Bert Price was a very good patron of this pub over a very long period of time, well known among many who used the Appy as it was know locally. I and my brother spent many a happy hour in there as did many of the Old Bush patrons after it closed  and they had to find a new watering hole. But like many of the old local pubs they fell foul of the ever growing greed of the owners and brewers who gave up to the developers pound.
Kevin Cartwright 1960s This pub was kept by my grandparents, Eveline and Bill Hill for about a year in the late 1960s. They had previously been landlords at the same pub a number of years earlier. Other members of my family worked there as bar staff, mainly in the evenings and at weekends. I remember weekday lunchtimes being very busy - workers from the local foundry popping in over their lunch break for a quick pint or two.
