The Crown was situated at 127 New Street. This
pub is now used as an Indian restaurant. |
|
The publican from the 1930s until 1952 was a
famous local character called Dicky Larner. Taken over in 1952 by Jack and
Doris Parker, it was the haunt through the period of hospital senior
surgical staff. |
