The New Inn was situated at the junction of  Leek Road and Denford Road.

This pub dates back to at least 1817, and by 1846 it was used as a lodge by the United Ancient Order of Druids. The Druid Lodge was called The Acorn Of The Churnet Valley and was dissolved in 1949. The pub closed in 2008 and is currently derelict.
