The Apedale

The Apedale was a large detached pub on
the junction of Wilmot Drive and Lower Milehouse Lane. It had a
separate porch with a glass window where they did off-licence sales. Then a
couple of local idiots got onto the roof (in the early 1990s I think) and
threw hundreds of roof tiles at Police etc, causing a lot of damage. It
never reopened, and was eventually demolished. Such a waste. A great looking
building. Houses built on the site. |
