The Turks Head was situated on Bromford Lane.

Many years ago, possibly during the 50's, major road works were being carried out along Bromford Lane, possibly new sewage or drainage system. During excavations workmen uncovered a tunnel. It was believed at the time that it connected the Turks Head pub to the Oak House. I don't know the age of the Turks Head, but it would be nice to know if it was such a tunnel.
