Turks Head

The Turks Head was situated on Bromford Lane. |

Many years ago, possibly during the 50's, major
road works were being carried out along Bromford Lane, possibly new sewage
or drainage system. During excavations workmen uncovered a tunnel. It was
believed at the time that it connected the Turks Head pub to the Oak House.
I don't know the age of the Turks Head, but it would be nice to know if it
was such a tunnel. |
