The Castle was situated on The Street. This grade-II listed pub closed in 2016.
 

 
Listed building details:
Public House. Early C19. Red Flemish bond brick. Two storeys. Road front: 3 bays symmetrically disposed. Central doorway with round arched head and rubbed brick voussoirs. Panel to typanum, perhaps originally with glazed fanlight. Panelled doorway with panels to the reveals, the door having 2 upper lights, 2 raised and fielded central panels and 2 flush panels below. To either side of this are 3-light casement windows at ground floor level with splayed heads of rubbed bricks. The first floor has two similar windows to either side with cambered heads and a round-arched window at centre of 2 lights with Y-tracery. To the rear is a projecting 2-storey gabled wing at left.
