The Half Moon was situated on Woodbridge Road. This pub closed in 1986 and is now in residential use.

I live in Harrisville, Michigan, USA; my father was stationed at Bentwaters when I was a little girl (around 1976-77). He went over first to secure housing for my mother, brother, and myself. My dad, Bob Larson, stayed with Cess and Ina, who were the owners of the Half Moon Pub at the time. I’ve heard loads of stories from his time there, but what I take away from the stories is the wonderful people he met. He loved Cess and Ina, and he loved my dad like he was their own. He says he helped them out when he wasn’t at the base. I plan on asking my dad for more specifics as I heard most of the tales when I was younger and cannot rightly remember them all now.
