The Bottle & Glass was situated on Ash Road.  This pub is now in residential use.

It is now rented by my daughter.I have been told by local people that on the other side off the A12 is where the old cattle market used to be and that the pub was much used on market days. Also there was a small brewery in the out buildings at the back.In the out buildings there is still some thatch under the red tiles.
