The Standar
|

|
|
The Standard was situated on Queensway.
My parents, John and Joan green were the first publicans in the new standard
in 1968 having moved here from the British Queen public house in Histon Rd
Cambridge, and their they remained until the mid 80's, the pub was
demolished around 2002 and shops have now taken taken its place. |

I was one of the publican's sons and
had a happy childhood leading into adulthood under that roof, many happy
memories. |
