The Kings Head was situated at 23 High Street. This grade-II listed pub closed in 2013 and is now used by a solicitor's practice.
 

 
Listed building details:
House, now hotel. Mid C18, converted to public house 1836: with C20 extensions. Colourwashed brick; machine-tile roof with brick stack at left end.
Exterior: single storey and dormer attic; 3-bay front to street. Central door flanked by one flush-framed window with 8/8 unhorned sashes on either side. Dentil eaves cornice. Single dormer has 3/6 horned sash. Right return: single-storey glazed attachment. Rear: 2-storey extensions.
Interior: internal plan uncertain as interior opened into one space and first floor removed. Roof of principal rafters trusses.
