building details: |
House and shop formerly inn.
Probably C16, altered. Timber framed, rendered, plaintile roofs. 2 adjoining
ranges of 1½ and 2 storeys, gable to road. Right hand range probably 2 bays,
left hand range similar. Scattered fenestration, C20 windows and doors, two
windows to each range. Right hand range has central lantern on ridge.
External end stack to left hand range, partly rebuilt.
Limited access to left hand range: exposed flat joists to left bay; cambered
tie beam. End bay of right hand range has lower floor level, formerly a
cellar. Blocked original doorway and evidence of former windows. No access
to upper floor. |
