The Punchbowl

Date of photo: 1907

The Punchbowl was situated on Reigate Road and closed in 1988.

The building is still there, though now converted to a Frankie & Benny's Restaurant & Bar, with a Travelodge built on the part of the original plot/adjacent land.

This is no longer Frankie & Benny’s. It has now reopened as the Arkle Manor – a gastro pub, but with a reasonable range of real ales and quite decent food

The Arkle Manor is not the same place as The Punchbowl. The Punchbowl is still ‘Frankie and Bennys’. The Arkle is about 2 miles further east on the A25.
