The Star & Garter was situated at 48 Harvest Road. This pub is now in residential use.
I was born in the room downstairs to the right in the above photo, in 1942. My three sisters were also born here in the 1940s after it was no longer a pub. Taxi drivers always knew the address as The Star and Garter, as they found this easier than the house number.
