I remember
the buses used the front car park as a stand. In 1962 there was a pea souper
fog and bus number 206 from Claygate to Hampton Court Station got as far as
The Windsor and told all the passengers to walk. I was 10 and my mum was
furious!! Planning permission granted in 1962 for erection of a three storey
building with 5 shops on ground floor stores and offices on first floor and
offices on second floor with car park and service roads following demoltion
of existing buildings. |
