Crown Inn

The Crown Inn was situated on The Street. This grade-II listed pub closed in 1960 and has now been converted into two cottages, Crown House and Little Crown Cottage.
 

 
Listed building details:
House, extended and divided. C16, extended in C19 to left. Timber framed clad in colourwashed and whitewashed brick, weatherboarding and some roughcast cladding on extension. Horsham slab roof on old range, plain tiled roof over extension. L-shaped plan with wing projecting to left. Two storeys with C19 multiple stack to rear of ridge, and under a corbelled top, to right. Further stacks to rear left and left end. Brick dentilled eaves to left. Three leaded casement windows to the first floor, two below to right. One 3-light window over garage doors to gable end of wing, one sash window to right hand return front of wing. Pentice roofed porch to right of centre on old range with two glazed doors. Pentice garage extension to right. Wing to rear.
