Centre. This pub was opened in 1981 as part of the new shopping centre. It
closed in 1989. |

I was a local at this pub ( to young to drink alcohol, ie
pints of oj, Coca-Cola or milk) and made many friends from all walks of
life, that I still treasure today, none more than Keith & Kath the
landlord and lady who were like surrogate parents for me at that time. |

I worked at Blackfriars for a
couple of years part time evenings and Saturday lunch time. Loved my
time there had great fun and the pub was so great to work at. Kath and
Keith were the landlords who were fantastic and I did stay in Contact
when they left but alas not now. Would love to hear from any one staff
and customers who remember those good times |
