The Iron Horse was situated at 27aBletchingley Road. This pub opened in 1956 and closed in 2008. It has since been demolished.

My Grandparents were landlords there (Joyce and Dave Wells) during the late sixties when it was owned by Charringtons. This was a lovely pub in its day. Shame!

My mum and dad, Sid and Enid Wort, were landlords of this pub from 1959 to 1965.  I was 7 months old when we moved in.  I remember in the public bar the lino had a pattern of a railway track on it. There was a large room behind the saloon and public bar which stretched the width of the pub.  A flat roof was above this, access was from the flat that we lived in and I used to play in a paddling pool on the flat roof.
