The Crown was situated on Guildford Road. This pub closed in 2011.

After extensive refurbishment, this re-opened in 2012 as Bertram Bees, a restaurant/bar and delicatessen.

Sadly, this listed 1700s building has been violated by developers who are turning it and its car park into even more private accommodation.
