The Balaclava

The Balaclava was situated at 73 High Street. This pub closed in 1914

Stumbled across your site when checking the name ‘Balaclava Beerhouse’ from the 1881 Census. Edwin Delves was a beer retailer living at Balaclava Beerhouse, 73 High Street, Brighton, Sussex. Also there were his wife, Fanny, a servant, Jane Dibbell and lodger, George Land. Looking at 73 High Street on Google Maps, I think the building is still there.
