Great Pub in the 80s for Live music. My husband
played in a band called Lazy Train. In about 1983/4 when his band used to
rehearse in nearby Standbridges studio and Frankie Goes to Hollywood were
rehearsing there too and Holly Johnson ended up coming to watch Lazy Train
at The Kings Head Cuckfield. |

Hi! I was the DJ during 1973/79
playing new stuff Thursdays and oldies on a Sunday. I remember John, the
owner, Martin, the landlord and Ted. A firm favourite on Thursday and
bank holiday nights was Lynard Skynard's Free Bird. Standing on tables
singing along. I also saw in the birth or punk. I always closed the
night with a fave oldie, I Guess I'll Get the Papers and go Home by The
Mills Brothers. Happy days. Would love to hear from ANYONE:) |
