The Surrey Arms was situated at 37 Western Road (originally 21 Western Road but renumbered to 37 as Western Road was extended westwards). Originally known as The Cricketers Arms. Closed in 1963, the building is now used as a private residence. The skittle alley can still be seen to the rear of the premises.
