The New Dolphin Inn was situated at 162 Long Street. This pub has now been converted into flats.

This was a regular visit when I was a kid on a Friday night. Usually my dad and his mates drank in there and brought us with them! Regularly remember being given a pound to play on the not-quite-a fruit machine to keep us occupied. Nick's chippy (the friendly plaice) was next door and I think he still runs it to this day. Sadly, the pub is now long gone as it closed in 2011 and was turned into flats around 2015.
