The Jug Of Ale was situated on Alcester Road. This was an important music venue with the likes of Oasis and Blur playing there in their early days. Sold by Scottish & Newcastle in 2008 as it 'did not fit in with the company's long term business strategy'. The intention was to demolish but the original building was converted into a restaurant.
