The Good Companions was situated on Coventry Road. Built in 1938 it was demolished in 1993.

Back in the 1970s my sister managed to blag Rod Stewarts autograph on the back of a packet of 10 No6. He'd finished a gig at the N.E.C. and popped in to The Good Companions with his entourage.
