The Racecourse was situated on Bromford Drive.
As the name suggests it was built on the Bromford Bridge Racecourse that had
it’s first horse race meeting in 1894 and the last in 1965. The Council
purchased the land to built a new housing estate and this pub stands on a
small part of that land overlooked by the M6 Motorway behind. This closed
pub unfortunately made the national news as the Police found a huge cannabis
plant factory in operation in 2012. It was also known as The Guineas and has been closed a long time now.
