The Crabmill was situated on the A4189. In February 2022 an accidental kitchen fire resulted in severe damage to the 17th century pub. A year later the owners Brunning and Price announced that owing to the considerable costs involved in rebuilding, the pub would not be re-built, and put the property up for sale in November 2023. As of March 2024, a community action group is attempting to get the building registered as an Asset of Community Value.
