The Red Horse Hotel was situated at 29
Bridge
Street. This pub was present by the 1810s when Washington Irving visited. He
later wrote about his visit and the inn in his ‘Sketch Book’ published in
1820. It is now in retail use as a Marks & Spencer store. |
