The Gold Cup Inn was situated at 6 Castle Street. This grade-II listed pub had several changes of names: Lane’s; Keep; Castle’s Bar and Castle Keep.
Listed building details:
C18, altered. Stucco chamfered quoins, rusticated base probably of painted stone. Old tiled roof. 2 storeys, cornice moulding. Double sash to each floor of 2 lights with mullion, rusticated head. with keyblock. Upper window has glazing bars. 6 fielded panel door on right with blocked oblong fanlight.
