Listed
building details: |
Inn. Early C18. Rubble stone, tiled
roof, gable-end brick stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, 4-window. Six-panelled
door with flat wooden hood on posts to right of centre, to right and left of
door is 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned window, all under one
hoodmould, 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned windows with hoodmoulds to
sides. First floor has three 3-light mullioned windows and one
small blocked light to left. Roof has coped verges. Attached to left is
single-storey extension with pantiled roof and early C19 half-octagonal
extension to front with 12-pane sashes and hipped
slate roof. Left return of extension has cylindrical bread oven. Rear has
3-light recessed chamfered mullioned window to ground floor and attached
single-storey C20 extensions, the right one in same style with hipped roof,
first floor has 3-light and 2-light mullioned windows. Rear wing to left has
2-light mullioned window and hipped roof.
Interior has open fireplace with timber lintel on limestone jambs. |
