The Beaufort Arms was situated on Station Road. Gutted by fire following closure it is to be demolished and replaced by housing.

Roger Gibbons	1956-1960	Bert Parton and his wife Daisy, my grandparents had this pub. My mum Eileen and her sister Pat lived and worked in the pub. All gone now..I stayed there every school holiday, and was the only kid allowed on the railway station cos the station master drank in the pub.
