My parents Arthur and Elsie Spires took on the licence
for the New Inn on May 8, 1945, V.E.Day. They were there until 1956. I
left in 1952 to join the Royal Navy. The pub was the base for the
Bretforton Old Boys football club and the players changed in an outhouse
at the ball. Many happy memories of the area and friends made at the
time. Now living in Plymouth |
