Sad news has just come to light as we edit this edition, the Bell & Cross, Holy Cross, Clent has closed its doors due to rising costs, another victim of the economic crisis. The Bell & Cross is a grade-II listed building and is also noted for several historical features such as the bar and some of its seating which have led to it being listed as a Heritage Pub. However, the current climate has now forced its closure and we hope that a new licensee can be found soon to carry on this pub's history. We wish the outgoing licensee, Joe Tansley, good luck and hope he'll be back on his feet as quickly as possible.
