This closed in 1994 and is currently
my home. It was renamed as the Railway Tavern in 1864 with the arrival of
the railway in the village, previously it had just been known as a Beerhouse
or Brewhouse. It was well known across the Midlands for its duck suppers
which attracted day trippers from Birmingham and around. |
