The Black Horse was situated at 9 Mount Pleasant.

I used to fill the shelves up on a Saturday and Sunday morning for the licensee Mr David Rolston, he was ex RAF and a very nice man, his brother Geoff lived next door to us in Abbey Road. I used to help both doing gardening jobs. this was round about 1966, my dad worked at Bradleys garage. I attended Bridley Moor secondary modern.
