The Crown Inn was situated on Main Street. This grade-II listed pub closed in 2019.
 

 
Listed building details:
Public House. Initialled and dated " WDA" with early C19 addition 1769. Hammer-dressed stone, dressed quoins, slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Doorway with double tie-stone jambs has chamfered surround. Above is date plaque set within semicircular-arched recess with impost and keystone. To left,on both floors,a 2-light flat-faced mullioned window with 2-paned sash. To right to both floors a single, sashed window. Addition to left has a 2-light window to each floor and stack. 2 other stacks set to front below the ridge. Hipped roof to right.
