The Four Horseshoes was situated on Highgate.

My grandad Henry Ingle had this pub in the 1930 and 1940s.It is now a private house. There was a blacksmith forge attached,he was a qualified farrier.I'm too young to remember it personally but I have several photos outside the pub and of the working forge.I do recall being told the pub was popular with USAAF during the war.
