The Springcliffe is a pub I never really saw in daylight, and never went near, let alone go inside.  Consequently I am totally unable to identify it.  However it was only a short distance up Heaton Road from Church Street.  There is one building I have identified off of Google Earth (see above) that looks distinctly pub like.  It is opposite the road from the end of Springcliffe Street.
