The Phoenix was situated on Richmond Road.  This grade-II listed pub closed in 1907 and is now in residential use.
Listed building details:
House. Late C18 - early C19. Roughcast, pantile roof. 2 storeys, 3 unevenly-spaced bays. Between second and third bays, 6-panel door below blind overlight. C20 sash windows with glazing bars in first and third bays, 16-pane sash windows in second bay. Shaped kneelers, ashlar copings. Brick stacks at ends and between first and second bays. Was the Phoenix Inn 1829-1907.
