The New Strongwood was situated on Eastway.

I used to work at the New Strongwood in 1975 and remember the landlord was called Brian.  I moved away from the area not long afterwards, but returned a few years ago, and was saddened to watch the pub being demolished a few months ago.  All that remains is a pile of rubble! Our British Way of Life seems to be going the same way....
