Red Lion

 

 


 
The Red Lion was situated on Croft Head Terrace. This pub was present by 1744 when the publican was W. Batty and closed in 1890. It was  then demolished and a Temperance Hotel built in its place, a building that still survives and displays the date of 1902 on its facade.
