The Hackfall Inn closed in 1994 and is now used as a private dwelling.

This was a popular food pub during the 1970's, run by a a colourful Spaniard called Franco.

My parents ran the hackfall inn in grewelthorpe in the late 1970's. Christopher and Avril. We used to have the goat matilda in a paddock out the back of the pub. She belonged to the people in the post office next door. Both myself and brother attended the village school across the road. Head mistress at the time was Mrs mayor. Lovely but strict lady.
