Cross Keys

The Cross Keys was situated on
Flatgate. This pub was present by 1840
when the publican was William Coult. The inn then probably underwent
alterations as, in 1879, when the Howden Hall estate was sold, it included
'all that newly-erected, substantially built and well-accustomed Inn or
Alehouse called The Cross Keys'. |
